| At the ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Anh Tuan, South Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Im Hong Jae and Chairman of the Kumho Asiana Group Park Sam Gu voted for Ha Long Bay.
According to Ambassador Im Hong Jae, 20 days after the banner calling the vote for Ha Long Bay placed on the Vietnamese website of the South Korean Embassy, 10,000 people accessed the page and vote for Ha Long.
The South Korean Ambassador said he will continue advertising Ha Long to Korean investors and citizens who are working and living in Vietnam and call for their vote for this landscape.
In addition, the Asiana Airlines will also advertise for Ha Long Bay on their aircrafts.
The South Korean Embassy’s call for voting for Ha Long Bay will help strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and the development of Vietnam’s tourism.
South Korea is one of the biggest investor in Vietnam. Last year around 500,000 Korean visitors went to Vietnam.
More than 50,000 Korean people are living in Vietnam while 70,000 Vietnamese are studying and living in South Korea.
On March 6, Ha Long Bay still ranked first in the two other sites of Vietnam, the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park and Fansipan Mountain.
